Short answers about the app.

1. The link opens the website instead of the app.

The link has to be exactly https://radicon.alessioc42.dev/mobile/connect, with config_server as a parameter. Android and iOS open the app only when it is installed and the files under /.well-known/ match the installed build.

2. What is the configuration server?

It is the organisation’s server, not this website. The app loads /.well-known/radicon.json from it and shows the file before it continues. You can also enter that address directly. An address on radicon.alessioc42.dev counts only as an app link.

3. What is installed on the device?

A Wi-Fi profile with a name, SSID, outer EAP identity, trusted server names, and a PKCS#12 client certificate. On Android this is a Wi-Fi suggestion that you allow once. On iOS, Safari downloads an unsigned profile, which you install in Settings.

4. Why does the app use the camera?

Only to scan a QR code. You can paste a link or search for an organisation without the camera.
